Tauck offers more than 100 guided land journeys, small-ship ocean cruises, European river cruises, safaris and family travel experiences in more than 70 countries. In 1925, while traveling through New England, a salesman named Arthur Tauck had a revolutionary idea. Inspired by the beautiful scenery, welcomed by warm hospitality, and intrigued by the stories he encountered on the back roads of New England, he created an all-inclusive vacation that would introduce others to these places they’d never go on their own. Six people took his first tour, with Arthur at the wheel of a rented Studebaker. Along the way, he told them about the places that he loved and took care of their travel needs. He checked his guests in and out of the hotel rooms he’d reserved; carried their luggage; paid for meals; and covered tips, gas, and incidentals—all for one upfront price.
